They include a black finish, exclusive leatherette covering, and nickel-colored accents on the control elements, lens, and lens cap. Unlike the series model, the special edition does not feature the red Leica logo. It favors a clear design with straight lines. Other details like the “100” on the hot shoe cover and elaborate edging on the shutter release offer a nod to its iconic heritage.

The D-Lux 8 100 YEARS OF LEICA is identical to the series model from a technical perspective. Its powerful Leica DC Vario-Summilux 10.9–34 f/1.7–2.8 ASPH. lens and 21 MP CMOS sensor offer outstanding image quality. The DNG format and the supplied powerful flash expand the creative possibilities.
